Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) recorded a net profit of Rp2.93 trillion in 2025, a 43% decrease year-on-year (yoy) compared to Rp5.10 trillion in 2024.

“Amid global coal price pressures throughout 2025, PTBA managed to maintain solid operational performance,” stated PTBA President Director Arsal Ismail in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Arsal assured that the company achieved quarterly profitability improvements, driven by optimisation of the export market portfolio and enhanced cost efficiencies.

“This performance is reflected in the positive growth of production and sales volumes. Additionally, the optimal realisation of capital expenditure serves as a crucial foundation for supporting sustainability and future operational performance growth,” Arsal added.

Meanwhile, the company’s cost of goods sold was recorded at Rp36.39 trillion in 2025, a 5% increase (yoy) from Rp34.56 trillion in 2024.

The company’s EBITDA stood at Rp6.08 trillion as of the end of 2025, with an EBITDA margin of 14%.

“Regarding the achievement of capital expenditure (capex), for the 2025 fiscal year, it has been realised at 63% of the annual target, amounting to Rp4.55 trillion,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, coal sales volume was recorded at 45,428,081 tonnes, a 6% growth (yoy) compared to 42,890,977 tonnes in 2024.

The breakdown includes 24,742,790 tonnes for domestic sales and 20,685,291 tonnes for export sales.

As of 31 December 2025, the company’s total assets were recorded at Rp43.91 trillion, a 5% growth (yoy) compared to Rp41.78 trillion in 2024.
