Bukaka wins gangway deal
JAKARTA (JP): PT Bukaka Teknik Utama, a privately-owned
engineering company, has won a tender to build 76 units of
gangway and boarding bridges for Hong Kong's new airport, the
company's executives said.
"This is the biggest single order in the world," Fadel
Muhammad, Bukaka's president, told journalists after a meeting
with President Soeharto at Merdeka Palace yesterday.
"We are leaving to Hong Kong on June 9 to sign the contract,"
he said. Fadel, however, did not disclose any other details about
the deal. (hdj)
