Bukaka, Citac form JVC

JAKARTA (JP): PT Bukaka Bandar Nusa will cooperate with PT Citac Engineering and Trading and Thomson Radar Australia Corporation, a subsidiary of France's Thomson-CSF Airsys, to develop two major air traffic management projects in eastern Indonesia.

The company said the joint venture would build FAT 50 phase II (Radar and Radio Coverage of Eastern Indonesia), and the Ujung Pandang Airport Development Project in South Sulawesi after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on November 4 last year.

Bukaka's president, Fadel Muhammad, said he was optimistic the cooperation would improve the aviation industry's technology and human resources.

Thomson-CSF Airsys, a subsidiary of French-based electronics giant Thomson-CSF, has supplied most of Indonesia's air traffic management infrastructure. (02)
