The prestigious multi-sport event Tri-Sport Series 2026 has returned for its second year. The event, a collaboration between TBD Triathlon Event Management and PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, was held on 14–15 February 2026 at Jimbaran Resto Ancol, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta.

Entering its second year, Tri-Sport Series 2026 has become a strategic platform for introducing multi-sport disciplines to the wider public whilst strengthening the development of young athletes, particularly in DKI Jakarta.

The event featured three main disciplines: triathlon, duathlon, and aquathlon. More than 750 athletes from various age groups took part, including participants from overseas. The attendance of hundreds of athletes reaffirmed the position of Tri-Sport Series as one of the largest multi-sport events in Indonesia.

Full support came from the Indonesian Triathlon Federation (FTI) DKI Jakarta chapter. FTI DKI Jakarta Chairperson Michelle Surjaputra said the Tri-Sport Series plays an important role in the development of multi-sport disciplines.

“Tri-Sport Series 2026 is a strategic step towards building a multi-sport ecosystem in Jakarta. This event provides space for junior athletes to demonstrate their potential whilst introducing a challenging and enjoyable sport to the public,” she said.

As the host venue, Ancol was considered to play a crucial role. Beyond its reputation as a premier tourist destination, Ancol is now also developing into a centre for sporting activities. Its comprehensive facilities, strategic location, and natural surroundings provide added value supporting the successful staging of large-scale events such as Tri-Sport Series.

The Head of DKI Jakarta Province’s Youth and Sports Agency, Andri Yansyah, also expressed his appreciation. He assessed the event as effective in encouraging participation among Jakarta’s young people in active sports.

“We greatly appreciate Tri-Sport Series 2026. This is a positive step towards encouraging Jakarta’s younger generation to be more active and to become acquainted with multi-sport disciplines that are now growing rapidly worldwide,” he said.

Tri-Sport Series 2026 featured various age categories and mixed relay events. From children’s categories, youth, through to masters, both individual and relay, all were designed to attract the widest possible participation.

Beyond the competitive element, the event also attracted more than 2,500 visitors comprising families, sports communities, and the general public. The organisers hope that Tri-Sport Series 2026 will become a sustainable event that produces potential Indonesian athletes whilst strengthening multi-sport culture in the country.
