JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The strengthening of the national cryptocurrency industry ecosystem is deemed necessary to be supported not only by user growth and innovation, but also by education, collaboration, and the development of an inclusive ecosystem.

Indodax CEO William Sutanto stated that the growth of the cryptocurrency industry in Indonesia must be accompanied by good understanding from the public so that the adoption process is not only rapid, but also healthy and educated.

According to William, the strengthening of the national cryptocurrency industry cannot be separated from building a sustainable ecosystem, including through collaborative spaces, education, and increasing public trust.

“Bali is not just a location for expansion for Indodax. Bali is the birthplace of the Indonesian cryptocurrency industry twelve years ago, as well as the initial epicentre of national cryptocurrency innovation growth,” William said in a written statement on Thursday (23/4/2026).

He said that the cryptocurrency ecosystem in Indonesia grew from community development and ongoing innovation up to the present day.

“From Bali, this ecosystem began to grow, develop, and continue to move until it became as large as it is today. Therefore, the opening of this office is not just about adding capacity, but also a manifestation of our commitment to continue that history and encourage the Indonesian cryptocurrency industry to grow even stronger and healthier,” he continued.

Bali is said to have a strategic position as one of the global hubs with a dynamic creative and digital ecosystem, particularly for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

This area is seen as a space for the development of various communities, talents, and innovations, and consistently hosts various industry player meetings through international agendas such as Coinfest Asia.

The presence of communities and discussion spaces is viewed as an important part in building a more inclusive cryptocurrency industry, while also expanding public understanding of digital assets.

Through this approach, the company encourages more open dialogue spaces with users while building public trust through transparency and ongoing education, in line with prudent principles amid the dynamics of the digital asset market.

“This step not only reflects a physical presence, but also becomes part of Indodax’s commitment to providing safe and trusted services, while strengthening contributions to Indonesia’s digital ecosystem through technology development, service improvements, and collaboration with various parties to encourage the cryptocurrency asset industry to grow in a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable manner,” William emphasised.
