Budget Accommodation Available at Rp 15,000 per Night at Pulo Gebang Terminal for Lebaran Homecoming

Jakarta — As Lebaran homecoming traffic approaches, cheap accommodation at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal in East Jakarta has become a popular choice for bus passengers needing temporary rest.

The transit accommodation can be rented for Rp 15,000 per night, with an additional Rp 5,000 charge for bathroom use.

This facility is provided for passengers who already have a bus ticket.

Daryanto, Commander of Pulo Gebang Terminal Unit, explained that the accommodation was prepared as a temporary stopping point for passengers waiting for departure schedules or in transit.

“The accommodation at Pulo Gebang is only temporary in nature. People can rest here if they already have a ticket,” said Daryanto during an interview at the location on Friday (6 March 2026).

He noted that the facility is frequently used by passengers arriving late at night or who need to wait for morning bus departures.

“Many arrive late and then wait for buses in the morning,” he said.

The transit accommodation is managed by the Jakarta Transportation Agency as part of services for passengers at Jakarta’s largest bus terminal.

Observations at the location showed several rooms occupied by resting passengers, whilst others remain vacant.

The room facilities are quite simple but adequate for temporary stopover purposes.

Male passenger rooms are equipped with mattresses without pillows, whilst female rooms provide beds and pillows.

Each room is also equipped with electrical sockets that can be used to charge mobile phones or other electronic devices.

Hallway areas and bathrooms are separated to maintain comfort and hygiene for facility users.
