Bubi Chen Quintet at Selasar Soenaryo

BANDUNG: Surabaya jazz maestro pianist Bubi Chen will perform here in a quintet along with Benny Likumahuwa (trombone), Kiboud Maulana (guitar), Perry Pattiselanno (bass) and Jacky Pattiselano (drums) at Selasar Soenaryo Art Space, Jl. Bukit Pakar Timur 100, Bandung.

Selasar Soenaryo Art Space public relations officer Wisye Batubara said that Bubi's appearance would be this year's second performance in the JazzSphere@ArtSpace, a jazz program resulting from cooperation forged by Selasar and KlabJazz Bandung.

Jazz aficionados in Bandung regularly hold meetings, discussions and jazz performances to get a better understanding of and pleasure from this music.

Bubi and friends will be on stage on Saturday Sept. 3, 2005, in the Amphitheater of Selasar Soenaryo. Before their appearance, Imam Pras Quartet will open the show.

Tickets are priced at Rp 50,000 (Rp 35,000 for students). --JP
