TUMPENG FOR PEACE: At least 1044 traditional rice cones locally
known as tumpeng are arranged in a hall inside the Surakarta
royal complex in Central Java. The tumpeng, collected from local
residents, were served for a Javanese ritual on Sunday to pray
for peace throughout Indonesia. Thousands of people, including
local leaders of different religions, attended the traditional
ceremony.
