[b]Track records of
Track records of
the candidates
From Koran Tempo
In the ongoing presidential campaigns, the public is fed only
with favorable information about the candidates. It is therefore
time for the public to know about the "minuses" of the
candidates.
It is only proper that the less impressive aspects of the
candidates' track records should be made public so that the
public will have complete knowledge about them.
If a dark side is revealed, the candidate should come forward
with an explanation. In this way the public will learn what
really happened in the past and will elect the right candidate.
If this aspect of presidential candidates were kept secret, even
if they won the presidential election democratically, the public
would suffer in the end.
