BTN targets net profit to surpass Rp4 trillion this year
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy President Director of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) Oni Febriarto Rahardjo has set a target for the company’s net profit this year to surpass Rp4 trillion.
“In our 2026 business plan, we are targeting our profit to break through the Rp4 trillion mark. This is certainly what makes us enthusiastic,” he said at the Economic Outlook & Chinese New Year 2026 event in Jakarta on Monday.
On the occasion, he explained that BTN held assets reaching Rp500 trillion in 2025, with profit growth of up to 15 per cent reaching Rp3.5 trillion, higher than the average growth of other banks which stood below 10 per cent.
Similarly, credit growth over the past five years has surpassed an average of 10 per cent.
“Our credit growth was approximately 11-12 per cent last year,” he said.
In 2025, BTN also established a new subsidiary called Bank Syariah Nasional.
“It is 99 per cent owned by BTN. So, this is the first time BTN has had its own subsidiary,” Oni said.
Previously, BTN reported consolidated net profit growth of double digits throughout 2025, namely 16.4 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rp3.5 trillion.
BTN’s net profit was driven by interest income which rose 23.0 per cent year-on-year to Rp36.3 trillion by the end of 2025. Meanwhile, the increase in interest expenses was recorded as minimal at 0.4 per cent year-on-year to Rp17.9 trillion as at the end of 2025.
From this achievement, BTN booked net interest income that increased 57.5 per cent to Rp18.4 trillion at the end of 2025, compared with Rp11.7 trillion in 2024.
