BTN seeks housing sector innovation through Housingpreneur Batch 3
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) is once again seeking new innovations to address challenges in the housing sector through the BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 competition.
Registration for BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 officially opens from 28 September until 30 November 2026. This initiative is designed to support entrepreneurship within the housing sector by involving students, the general public, developers, and business players within the housing ecosystem.
BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that the primary spirit of BTN Housingpreneur stems from the increasingly diverse challenges in meeting housing needs, which require innovation across the entire industry supply chain.
“The issues within the housing ecosystem today are becoming increasingly diverse and dynamic. Therefore, BTN wants to establish BTN Housingpreneur as a space for the birth of ideas, innovations, and new business models capable of providing real solutions. We invite innovators to view every housing challenge as a great opportunity to be explored and developed,” said Ramon.
In this year’s implementation, participants can compete through two main categories: Design & Architecture and Housing Related Innovation.
The registration series began with a Kick-Off event at the University of Indonesia, featuring musician Sal Priadi, and continued with roadshows to several universities, including Sriwijaya University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Diponegoro University, and Udayana University in Bali.
Ramon explained that the roadshows to various universities aim to expand the programme’s reach while uncovering innovation potential from different regions.
“BTN wants to reach as many talents and innovators from various backgrounds as possible. Through this series of roadshows, we hope to find fresh ideas that are not only creative but also relevant to community needs and have the potential to be implemented within the housing ecosystem,” said Ramon.
After the registration period closes, the competition will enter the judging phase, culminating in the BTN Expo in early 2027.
In addition to total prizes worth billions of rupiah, BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 also provides access to business incubation and business matching for participants, ensuring that the ideas generated can be implemented as real solutions for the national housing ecosystem.
“BTN Housingpreneur is not merely a competition, but a platform for innovators from both academia and professional backgrounds to increase capacity, expand networks, and take their ideas to the next level. We want the best ideas born from this programme to have the opportunity to be realised and provide a tangible impact on the progress of Indonesia’s housing ecosystem,” Ramon concluded.
