BTN Reshuffles Five Directors, Prepares Young Generation to Accelerate Transformation

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) has reshuffled its board of directors through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) held at Menara BTN, Jakarta, on Friday (4/9/2026).

In the RUPSLB, shareholders decided to change five of the 12 members of BTN’s Board of Directors. Meanwhile, the composition of the company’s Board of Commissioners remained unchanged.

The five directors who were honourably discharged were Director of Finance & Strategy Nofry Rony Poetra, Director of Human Capital & Compliance Eko Waluyo, Director of Consumer Banking Hirwandi Gafar, Director of Risk Management Setiyo Wibowo, and Director of Information Technology Tan Jacky Chen.

As their replacements, BTN appointed Adityo Kusumo as Director of Finance & Strategy, Wiwik Wahyuni as Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Johanes Barus as Director of Risk Management, Evita Barliana as Director of Consumer Banking, and Gatot Prasetyo as Director of Information Technology.

BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu said the changes were part of a process of regeneration and rejuvenation of the company’s management to continue BTN’s transformation agenda.

“I see this change as part of the regeneration and rejuvenation efforts in the management of Bank Tabungan Negara. We thank the shareholders and welcome the new Directors who will join BTN. The hope is that BTN will be much better in the future,” said Nixon, quoted on Sunday (6/9/2026).

According to Nixon, the entry of several professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience is expected to strengthen management capacity in carrying out the company’s transformation agenda.

The regeneration is also considered in line with BTN’s strategy to expand its business through the Beyond Mortgage strategy while maintaining the housing sector as the company’s core competency.

“Many young people are taking over and I think it fits with BTN’s future vision, namely Beyond Mortgage. Looking at their extensive experience, hopefully this can help accelerate BTN Transformation Phase II and accelerate the achievement of Beyond Mortgage, so that BTN becomes a very strong bank in consumer banking,” said Nixon.

The new BTN directors have experience in various sectors. Adityo Kusumo previously served as Director of Finance and Investment at PT Mineral Industri Indonesia.

Wiwik Wahyuni was previously Senior Director of Human Capital at PT Danantara Asset Management. Meanwhile, Johanes Barus previously served as Director of Risk Management at PT Petrokimia Gresik.

Evita Barliana previously served as Head of Non Branch Channel Sharia at PT Bank CIMB Niaga Sharia Indonesia. Meanwhile, Gatot Prasetyo was previously SVP IT Application Support Group Head at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

Meanwhile, as of June 2026, BTN’s assets reached Rp545.16 trillion, growing 12.41% year-on-year (yoy). Loans and financing also increased 11.17% yoy to Rp418.11 trillion.

Meanwhile, BTN’s third-party funds (DPK) reached Rp433 trillion, growing 6.55% yoy.

In terms of profitability, BTN’s net profit as of June 2026 was recorded at Rp2.41 trillion, surging 40.78% yoy.

This performance serves as one of the foundations for the new management to continue the company’s transformation, including expanding business beyond housing finance through the Beyond Mortgage strategy.

After the RUPSLB, the position of BTN President Director remains held by Nixon L.P. Napitupulu. Meanwhile, Oni Febriarto Rahardjo remains as Deputy President Director.
