BTN Records 863 New Developers Trained, Here's How
Jakarta – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk has successfully produced 863 new developers since the Mini MBA in Property programme was launched in 2016 up to 2025. In 2025, BTN trained 71 new developers through the Mini MBA in Property programme for Batch 23, Batch 24, and Batch Makassar.
BTN’s Commercial Banking Director, Hermita, stated that the programme is designed to produce competent developers who deliver quality and affordable housing for Indonesians.
“Graduates of the Mini MBA in Property not only gain knowledge but will also be provided with access to construction credit at BTN, mentoring for SME credit in housing clusters, and business matching with the market and quality business players connected in BTN’s housing ecosystem,” said Hermita during the Mini MBA in Property Graduation for 2026 in Jakarta on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
The programme, a collaboration between BTN’s Housing Finance Center (HFC) and the School of Business and Management (SBM) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), offers comprehensive learning along with real-world simulations to become quality developers. It also opens access to various housing project credits at BTN.
Hermita continued that the property sector still holds significant potential due to Indonesia’s continuously increasing housing needs, especially in the regions. Moreover, the government is currently providing strong support for developing the national housing sector through various financing and subsidy programmes.
According to Hermita, the implementation of the Mini MBA in Property programme is also BTN’s step to improve housing quality in Indonesia and drive the national economy. This is because housing is a capital-intensive sector that uses 90% local materials. “Even for every Rp1 trillion of capital entering the housing sector, it will add 8,000 jobs, thus having a significant impact on the national economy,” said Hermita.
Since its launch in 2016, the Mini MBA in Property programme has produced 863 alumni across Indonesia. Throughout 2025, alumni of this programme have recorded financing and funding collaborations with BTN worth Rp35.3 billion, both in terms of funding and lending.
Looking ahead, BTN will continue to strengthen this programme as part of its beyond mortgage strategy, not only focusing on financing but also building an integrated housing ecosystem. BTN will also open the Mini MBA in Property Batch 25, scheduled to start on 11 April 2026 at Menara 2 BTN, Jakarta.
