JAKARTA – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) has recorded training 863 new developers through the Mini MBA in Property programme since its inception in 2016 up to 2025.

In 2025 alone, BTN produced 71 new developers via the Mini MBA in Property programme, comprising Batch 23, Batch 24, and Batch Makassar.

The Mini MBA in Property programme is a collaboration between BTN’s Housing Finance Center (HFC) and the School of Business and Management at Institut Teknologi Bandung.

BTN’s Commercial Banking Director, Hermita, stated that the programme aims to produce competent developers capable of delivering quality and affordable homes for the public.

“Graduates of the Mini MBA in Property not only gain knowledge but will also be provided with access to construction credit at BTN, mentoring for SME credit in housing clusters, and business matching with quality markets and businesses connected in BTN’s housing ecosystem,” said Hermita during the Mini MBA in Property Graduation for 2026 in Jakarta on Saturday (28/3/2026).

Hermita added that the property sector still holds significant potential amid the continuously rising housing needs in Indonesia, particularly in regional areas.

According to her, implementing the Mini MBA in Property programme is also BTN’s step to improve housing quality while driving national economic growth.

This is because the housing sector is capital-intensive, utilising up to 90 per cent local materials.

“Even for every Rp 1 trillion of capital entering the housing sector, it will add 8,000 jobs, thus having a significant impact on the national economy,” said Hermita.

Throughout 2025, alumni of the programme recorded financing and funding collaborations with BTN worth Rp 35.3 billion, both in terms of funding and lending.

Going forward, BTN will continue to strengthen the Mini MBA in Property programme as part of its beyond mortgage strategy. This strategy not only focuses on financing but also builds an integrated housing ecosystem.

BTN also plans to launch Mini MBA in Property Batch 25, scheduled to begin on 11 April 2026 at Menara 2 BTN, Jakarta.

She explained that all participants undergo an intensive 63-hour face-to-face learning process, structured based on a curriculum developed in collaboration between HFC BTN and SBM ITB.

The curriculum covers four main pillars in the property business: Business Model & Market, Finance & Risk, Project & Operation, and Regulation & Law.

“Through case study methods and direct learning from practitioners, participants not only acquire knowledge but also networks and mentors. The hope is that they become industry players capable of bringing real change, not just building houses but building lives,” said Donald.
