BTN Prepares Rp23.18 Trillion in Cash for Eid al-Fitr 2026
Jakarta — PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has prepared Rp23.18 trillion in cash to ensure adequate funds are available to the public and customers during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 period.
The cash will be provided from 13 March to 25 March 2026, coinciding with heightened economic activity and increased public mobility ahead of the Lebaran holiday.
BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando stated that the cash provision is designed to ensure all public transaction requirements are met throughout the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period.
“We are committed to ensuring cash availability for customers throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. BTN has prepared adequate liquidity to ensure public transaction needs continue to be served optimally,” Ramon said in Jakarta on Friday.
Of the total cash prepared, BTN has allocated Rp14.55 trillion, or 63 per cent, for cash requirements across all BTN outlets distributed throughout various regions in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, approximately Rp8.63 trillion, or 37 per cent, of the total funds will be used to replenish BTN ATM and CRM machines located across various areas.
BTN has also substantially increased liquidity availability at remote branch offices compared to normal conditions to anticipate heightened cash demand during the Lebaran period.
According to Ramon, this measure is taken in response to increased public mobility and consumer activity during Ramadan through Eid al-Fitr, which typically drives higher cash demand among the public.
Beyond ensuring cash availability, Ramon added that BTN continues to encourage customers to utilise various digital transaction services through the bale by BTN super application so that financial transactions can be conducted more easily, quickly, and securely anytime and anywhere.
“BTN ensures all banking service infrastructure, including branch networks, ATMs, and digital channels, continues to operate optimally to support customer transaction comfort throughout the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period,” Ramon said.
