PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has prepared IDR 23.18 trillion in cash to ensure adequate funds are available to the public and customers during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 period. These funds will be made available from 13 March to 25 March 2026, coinciding with increased economic activity and public mobility in the lead-up to Eid.

Ramon Armando, BTN’s Corporate Secretary, stated that the cash provision is intended to meet all transaction needs during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods.

“We are committed to ensuring cash availability for our customers during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period. BTN has prepared adequate liquidity so that the public’s transaction needs can continue to be served optimally,” Ramon said in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Of the total cash prepared, BTN has allocated approximately IDR 14.55 trillion, or 63 per cent, to meet cash requirements across all BTN outlets distributed throughout various regions across Indonesia. Meanwhile, approximately IDR 8.63 trillion, or 37 per cent, of the total funds will be used to replenish BTN’s ATM and cash recycling machines (CRM) across various areas.

BTN has also increased liquidity availability at branch offices significantly above normal levels to anticipate the surge in cash demand during the Eid al-Fitr period.

According to Ramon, this measure is being taken as public mobility and consumption activity during Ramadan through Eid al-Fitr typically drives increased cash demand in the community.

In addition to ensuring cash availability, Ramon added that BTN continues to encourage customers to utilise various digital transaction services through its super app Bale by BTN so that financial transactions can be conducted more easily, quickly and securely whenever and wherever needed.

“BTN ensures that all banking service infrastructure, including branch networks, ATMs and digital channels, continues to operate optimally to support customer transaction convenience during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period this year,” Ramon said.
