PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) recorded a consolidated net profit of Rp 1.85 trillion up to May 2026, together with its subsidiary Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN). This figure represents a 54.37% increase year-on-year (yoy) compared to Rp 1.19 trillion in the same period last year. According to BTN’s consolidated monthly financial report, net interest income (NII) was recorded at Rp 7.13 trillion through May 2026, growing 15.15% yoy from Rp 6.19 trillion. The consolidated performance was also supported by an increase in lending and financing, with total credit and financing reaching Rp 403.06 trillion, up 9.97% yoy from Rp 366.52 trillion in May 2025. Meanwhile, consolidated third-party funds (DPK) reached Rp 433.95 trillion, an increase of 9.09% yoy from Rp 397.78 trillion. BTN also maintained growth in operational profitability, with consolidated operating profit recorded at Rp 2.39 trillion, a 58.37% yoy increase from Rp 1.51 trillion. The BTN Group’s pre-provision operating profit (PPOP) reached Rp 3.98 trillion, up 20.07% yoy from Rp 3.31 trillion. President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu stated that the positive performance demonstrates BTN’s solid business fundamentals amidst global economic dynamics. He noted that the housing sector still has significant room for growth as housing is a primary need for the community. ‘A house is not merely an investment asset, but a basic need for the community. As long as people need decent housing, the need for housing finance will continue to exist. Therefore, BTN is optimistic that the housing sector will remain one of the drivers of national economic growth,’ Nixon said. He added that BTN will continue to strengthen the national housing ecosystem through business transformation and service innovation to meet the community’s needs, both in terms of home ownership and other supporting financial services.
