BTN initiates collaboration with Indosat for digital financial services

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) have signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate collaboration on digital financial services within a more integrated digital ecosystem. According to the companies, this collaboration represents a strategic step to provide more practical, relevant, and accessible service access for the public, in efforts to support the acceleration of financial inclusion in Indonesia. BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu stated in an official release in Jakarta on Thursday that partnering with digital industry players like Indosat is part of BTN’s strategy to accelerate the transformation of ecosystem-based banking services. Through this approach, he said, the company aims to deliver banking services that are not only available when customers need financing but also as part of their daily financial activities. “With the support of Bale by BTN and connectivity into a broader digital ecosystem, we are optimistic that BTN services will become easier to access, more actively used, and able to create greater added value for society,” he said. This collaboration brings a cooperative model between a bank and a telecommunications company, linking Indosat’s digital reach and connectivity strengths with BTN’s banking service capabilities in a single ecosystem. The initiative stems from the public’s need for increasingly practical and easily accessible digital and financial services in daily life. Amid increasingly digitalised lifestyles, BTN and Indosat see opportunities for collaboration to deliver services closer to public needs through digital distribution strengths and familiar everyday services.
