BTN: Indonesia Fashion Week 2026 Creates Multiplier Effect for National Economy
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Rully Setiawan, Director of Network and Retail Funding at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), said the BTN Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) 2026 is a moment that creates twin, multiplier-effect benefits for the Indonesian economy through creativity.
Rully said IFW 2026 brings together stakeholders from various sectors so that national creative economy products can reach a wider market.
“This event is a driver of the creative economy that connects business players, opens up market access, increases transactions and investment, strengthens the tourism sector, and creates a multiplier effect that benefits the national economy,” Rully said at the opening of IFW 2026 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He said Indonesia Fashion Week has now developed into more than just a stage for creativity, but also a driver of the national economy through cross-sector collaboration.
The event also brings together designers, creative industry players, micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), media, and fashion communities to expand Indonesia’s creative market.
Through the theme Ulos Simetria, which showcases the distinctive embroidered Ulos cloth of North Sumatra, Rully said culture can continue to live on through the spirit of creativity and collaboration, further introducing Indonesia’s creative industry to the world stage.
“The staging of Indonesia Fashion Week is important as a moment to further cherish the creative works of the nation’s children, and to strengthen collaboration in making Indonesia’s creative industry better known worldwide,” he said.
BTN expressed its appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI), the North Sumatra Provincial Government, and all partners and industry players who collaborated to organise IFW 2026.
The company also stated its pride at being trusted once again as title sponsor, co-host, and official bank partner of Indonesia Fashion Week for the third consecutive year.
According to him, this trust reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the growth of the creative economy as one of the drivers of the national economy.
To support the event, BTN is providing various digital transaction services, including the Bale by BTN (MyBTN) application, QRIS, and EDC machines. The company hopes these services will provide convenience, security, and comfort for visitors, tenants, and UMKM players throughout Indonesia Fashion Week 2026.
BTN Indonesia Fashion Week 2026 presents a contemporary interpretation that brings together tradition and innovation, culture and creativity, and local wisdom with a global perspective, demonstrating that Indonesia’s cultural heritage continues to live, evolve, and remain relevant on today’s fashion stage.
