PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) continues to expand public access to home ownership while strengthening financing for the housing ecosystem from upstream to downstream. During a mass signing ceremony centred in Palu, Central Sulawesi, BTN, for the first time nationally, conducted mortgage agreements with the option of tenures lasting up to 40 years.

This breakthrough complements BTN’s efforts to broaden housing finance access. From the beginning of 2026 until 27 September, BTN has disbursed 75,487 units of Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (KPR FLPP) mortgages worth Rp12.57 trillion.

At the same time, BTN is strengthening both the housing supply and demand sides through the Housing Program Credit (KPP). Between the start of 2026 and 27 September, KPP disbursements reached Rp5.07 trillion, consisting of Rp3.14 trillion in KPP Supply and Rp1.93 trillion in KPP Demand.

BTN’s Director of Commercial Banking, Hermita, stated that strengthening financing from the supply to the demand side is part of BTN’s transformation to expand the housing sector’s impact on the economy. This ecosystem involves not only homebuyers but also developers, contractors, material suppliers, and MSME players.

This momentum was marked by a mass signing for 2,577 debtors simultaneously across Indonesia, comprising 1,568 subsidized mortgage debtors and 1,009 MSME product debtors. Specifically in Palu, agreements were made for 159 debtors, consisting of 48 subsidized mortgage debtors and 111 MSME product debtors.

One of the participants in the signing was Fernando Anugrah Cahyono, a permanent employee of PT Palu Grand Hero with a monthly income of Rp4.4 million. Fernando obtained a subsidized mortgage with a credit ceiling of Rp167.27 million and chose a 35-year tenure. The longer tenure option provides flexibility for the public to adjust financing periods according to their financial capabilities.

On the housing supply side, BTN is also strengthening financing for business actors. In Palu, BTN has disbursed KPP amounting to Rp123 billion to 63 MSMEs since October 2025, particularly business actors in the property and construction sectors that support housing development and provision.

BTN is also encouraging MSMEs to grow alongside this ecosystem through financing and expanded market access. The Ministry of MSMEs notes that there are 33,935 MSMEs in the city of Palu.
