BTN books net profit of Rp2.51 trillion through July 2026
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), together with its subsidiary Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN), booked a consolidated net profit of Rp2.51 trillion through July 2026. The profit rose 39.79 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared with Rp1.80 trillion in the same period the previous year.
“For BTN, growth is not only about how we strengthen the business, but also about how BTN’s presence can deliver broader benefits for society and the environment. The stronger BTN grows, the greater the benefits we want to bring to the public, especially in the housing ecosystem that is BTN’s DNA,” said BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu in Jakarta on Monday.
The profit growth was supported by stronger intermediation performance and an improvement in net interest income. Based on BTN’s consolidated monthly financial report, net interest income (NII) reached Rp9.70 trillion through July 2026, growing 5.23 percent yoy from Rp9.21 trillion.
At the same time, interest expense fell 12.08 percent yoy to Rp9.45 trillion compared with Rp10.75 trillion in July 2025. The improvement also helped lift BTN’s consolidated operating profit to Rp3.24 trillion, growing 43.12 percent yoy compared with Rp2.26 trillion in the same period the previous year.
BTN’s positive performance was also supported by growth in its intermediation function. Through July 2026, total consolidated loans and financing reached Rp421.66 trillion, up 11.88 percent yoy from Rp376.89 trillion in July 2025.
Meanwhile, BTN’s consolidated third-party funds (DPK) reached Rp455.27 trillion, up around 13.58 percent yoy compared with Rp400.83 trillion in the same period the previous year. The DPK consisted of current accounts of Rp167.85 trillion, savings of Rp45.95 trillion, and deposits of Rp241.47 trillion.
Nixon said the sustainable performance growth was the result of a transformation that the company has consistently built for more than a decade. The transformation has taken BTN from strengthening its position as a housing specialist to a Beyond Mortgage phase, by building an increasingly integrated financial services ecosystem for Indonesian families.
According to him, the strengthening of the business fundamentals also provides room for BTN to enlarge the benefits delivered to the public. For BTN, business growth and social contribution are complementary parts in creating sustainable growth.
One manifestation of that commitment is carried out through improving the quality of people’s housing. BTN, together with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), is running the “Rumah Bersih, Keuangan Bersih” programme by repairing 20 uninhabitable houses (RTLH) for underprivileged families in Lebak, Cianjur, Sukabumi, and Purworejo in 2026.
The programme continues the collaboration between BTN and PPATK in 2025, which repaired 15 houses. Thus, over the past two years a total of 35 houses have been repaired to provide more decent housing for beneficiary families.
BTN’s contribution to the public is also being expanded through various social and environmental programmes aligned with the housing ecosystem. For the company, sustainability is realised not only through business growth, but also through improving the quality of life of communities and their surrounding environment.
“We believe building a house means building a life. Therefore, BTN’s growth must have an impact that can be felt by the public. We will continue to push various initiatives that provide real and sustainable benefits, in line with BTN’s role in building the national housing ecosystem,” Nixon said.
