BTN Auctions 10,000 Homes Below Market Price

Bank Tabungan Negara (BBTN), in collaboration with the Directorate General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance (DJKN MoF), is auctioning 10,000 second-hand homes under the BTN Big Auction 2026 programme. The ex-home ownership loan (KPR) properties are offered at competitive prices with financing schemes featuring interest rates from 5%. Benjamen Sihombing, BTN’s Senior Executive Vice President of Assets Management, stated that second-hand homes and auction assets are increasingly popular among the public due to more affordable prices in developed locations. Auctioned assets include landed houses, apartments, shophouses, and other commercial properties. Locations span the Jabodetabek area, Java, and beyond Java, with most assets situated in areas with adequate infrastructure and public facilities. BTN also offers the BTN Maju mortgage product for purchasing auctioned homes, with fixed interest rates starting at 5% for five years, down payments from 1%, and loan tenures up to 30 years. “We see second-hand homes not only as an investment alternative but also as a housing solution for the public amid rising new home prices,” said Benjamen. He added that the programme supports greater home ownership and property investment opportunities while advancing the government’s 3 Million Houses initiative. Previously, BTN recorded an auction sales realisation rate of 34.4% in 2025, the highest among Himbara banks. “The strengthening of the second-hand home ecosystem is expected to expand housing access for the public, support the 3 Million Houses Programme, and create a healthier property market with more competitive pricing options,” Benjamen stated. Meanwhile, Syukriah HG, Director of Auctions at DJKN MoF, said the BTN Big Auction 2026 aligns with efforts to broaden public economic access through more transparent and digital auction systems.
