BTN and KAI Wisata Launch Premium Customer Services Including Executive Lounge
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) continues to expand its business operations by partnering with PT Kereta Api Pariwisata. Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, this collaboration opens opportunities for developing an ecosystem of BTN banking services in the tourism transport sector, ranging from joint marketing collaboration, digital service integration, to the enhancement of premium facilities for customers.
Rully Setiawan, Director of Network and Retail Funding at BTN, explained that the collaboration represents an important step in expanding the service ecosystem whilst enhancing customer experience, particularly for those utilising railway tourism travel services.
“In this Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony, we see various strategic collaboration opportunities that can be developed together,” said Rully during the signing between BTN and PT Kereta Api Pariwisata at Gambir Station Lounge on Monday, 9 March 2026.
One of the main collaboration focuses is the development of joint marketing and business initiatives. BTN and Kereta Api Pariwisata will encourage diverse initiatives such as joint promotion programmes, payment gateway integration, and synergised marketing initiatives involving both institutions.
Additionally, BTN is opening opportunities for the utilisation of banking products and services within the Kereta Api Pariwisata ecosystem. Rully hopes this integration will provide BTN customers with more comfortable and exclusive travel experiences.
“This collaboration enables the utilisation of various BTN products and services within the Kereta Api Pariwisata ecosystem, so customers can enjoy travel more conveniently and with added value,” he stated.
The cooperation also includes digital collaboration, wherein both parties will promote customer acquisition through the Bale application whilst implementing various co-branding programmes.
Digital transaction service integration is also a significant component, including through the Bale application, EDC machines, QRIS, Virtual Accounts, and various other digital payment services. This can increase transaction volume both offline and online.
The collaboration also extends to enhancing premium facilities for BTN customers. This includes the provision of Executive Lounges at stations that can be utilised by BTN Prioritas and BTN Private account holders.
These facilities are expected to provide greater comfort for customers when travelling using Kereta Api Pariwisata services. “We believe this collaboration not only strengthens value proposition for customers, but also opens opportunities for developing other strategic collaborations in the future,” said Rully.
Going forward, this Memorandum of Understanding also serves as a foundation for both parties to conduct evaluations and explore various broader and sustainable collaboration potentials. BTN hopes the synergy with Kereta Api Pariwisata will operate optimally, providing benefits not only to both companies, but also to the wider public utilising transportation and digital banking services.
Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji, Chief Executive of PT Kereta Api Pariwisata (KAI Wisata), expressed appreciation to BTN for its commitment to building this synergy. According to him, KAI Wisata plays a role as a company that integrates various travel experience services whilst managing assets and properties belonging to its parent company, PT KAI, including various stations and historic buildings with high heritage value.
“KAI Wisata is a company that weaves experience services whilst managing assets and properties from parent company PT KAI, including stations and heritage buildings that we will optimise,” said Raden Agus.
Through this memorandum of understanding, BTN and KAI will explore several collaboration opportunities, including those related to the development and utilisation of KAI-owned land in order to provide greater added value. Given that KAI-owned land scattered across various regions possesses significant potential for productive development through collaboration with strategic partners.
“The development of this MoU includes what we can collaborate on regarding KAI land and the management of KAI properties to have added value,” he said.
He hopes the agreement that has been signed will not stop at the initial stage, but rather become a strong foundation for building long-term mutually beneficial collaboration in the future.
