BTN and Journalists Distribute 600 Food Packages
Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BTN) and the BTN Journalists Forum (FWB) distributed around 600 food aid packages to communities in the Jabodetabek region. The social activity titled “BTN and Journalists Share” serves as a manifestation of social concern as well as an effort to alleviate the burdens of the public in welcoming Lebaran. BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando stated that the company fully supports the activity initiated by the BTN Journalists Forum. According to him, journalists are a strategic partner of BTN in conveying various company programmes and activities to the public. “May this activity bring blessings and provide real benefits to those in need,” said Ramon during the event held at Menara 2 BTN, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. During this year’s Ramadan, BTN also organised various other social activities, such as the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran combined with communal iftar, Ramadan Safari, assistance for orphans and the underprivileged at all branches, and the 2026 Joint SOE Homecoming programme. “Ramadan is a special moment to strengthen faith, multiply goodness, and strengthen relationships with others,” said Ramon. He emphasised that with a strong spirit of solidarity, BTN is optimistic about facing various challenges while continuing to provide real contributions to society. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Food Sharing Activity from the BTN Journalists Forum, Roni Mawardi, explained that the aid was distributed to communities in various Jabodetabek areas, including residents around the BTN office in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, and Harmoni, Central Jakarta. The food packages were also given to people with disabilities, the underprivileged, the poor, orphans, the elderly, and informal workers. “We thank BTN for its support. May this assistance help those in need, especially ahead of Lebaran,” said Roni.
