BTN aims for 1,500 submissions through Housingpreneur Batch 3
The challenge is not merely to build more houses, but to provide housing that is more affordable, high-quality, sustainable, and aligned with community needs.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk is targeting 1,500 submissions from students, the general public, entrepreneurs, and developers to address various challenges in the housing sector through BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3.
BTN’s Director of Network & Retail Funding, Rully Setiawan, stated that BTN Housingpreneur serves as a platform for the younger generation and business actors to develop housing solutions from a broader perspective.
“We are not here to claim that BTN already possesses all the solutions, but rather to ask the younger generation: what solutions do you have? BTN Housingpreneur is not only looking for entrepreneurs who already have businesses, but also potential entrepreneurs and innovators who may currently only have an idea or concept,” Rully said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
According to Rully, housing is not just about building houses, but also encompasses design, architecture, construction, materials, technology, sustainability, financing, and various integrated services.
This aligns with BTN’s transformation towards ‘Beyond Mortgage’ and the company’s role in strengthening the national housing ecosystem.
“The challenge is not just to build more houses, but to provide housing that is more affordable, high-quality, sustainable, and meets community needs. Therefore, participants need to start not just with the question ‘what do I want to make’, but rather ‘what problem do I want to solve’,” said Rully.
Carrying the theme “Elevate Beyond Your Limit”, BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 focuses on three pillars: sustainability, technology, and access.
Participants are divided into two main groups: business ideation for students and the general public, and established business for entrepreneurs and developers.
The business ideation group includes categories such as Rumah Nusantara, Housing Design, and Housing Innovation. Meanwhile, the established business group covers Rumah Nusantara, Housing Ecosystem, Housing Tech, Housing Design, Affordable Housing, and Commercial Housing.
Rully emphasised that BTN Housingpreneur does not end with the selection of winners. Selected participants will receive assistance in developing business models and presentation skills before being introduced to BTN’s business units, developers, customers, and partners through a business matching process.
“This is not just an idea competition. Selected ideas will receive coaching and mentoring, and can then be matched with existing business needs. BTN can also provide financing solutions so that these innovations can grow into businesses and enter the market,” said Rully.
On Monday (28/9), BTN officially opened registration for BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 during a kick-off event at the University of Indonesia (UI), Depok.
Moving forward, the company will hold a series of programmes with roadshows at several other campuses, including the Bandung Institute of Technology, Sriwijaya University in Palembang, Diponegoro University in Semarang, and Udayana University in Bali.
Registration for BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3 is open from 28 September until 30 November 2026 and is free of charge. The public can access information regarding requirements, categories, and registration mechanisms via www.btnhousingpreneur.com.
