JAKARTA (JP): The British Telecommunications (BT), one of the leading telecommunications operators in the world, will boost its presence in South-east Asia by opening a representative office in Jakarta.
A press release made available to The Jakarta Post here yesterday said that the representative office was opened on Wednesday with David Payne as its business manager.
"Over the next three years, we plan to boost sales revenue from Indonesia for our business services and to identify join venture opportunity with local companies," BT's regional manager in South-east Asia Michael Thio said.
Over the next three months BT plans to conduct a series of promotional activities with the state-owned international telecommunications firm PT Indosat and its affiliate PT Sisindosat, to promote BT's concert product and services to multi-national corporation in Indonesia.(icn)
