BSP Strengthens Transformation, Operational Reliability and Business Resilience through BCMS
PT Bumi Siak Pusako (BSP) continues to strengthen its corporate transformation agenda through improved governance, operational reliability, business resilience, technology utilisation and stronger cross-functional collaboration. The move is part of the company’s efforts to maintain operational sustainability while driving production increases in the Coastal Plains and Pekanbaru Working Area (WK CPP).
This commitment was demonstrated through a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Workshop held at the PT Bumi Siak Pusako office in Pekanbaru from 19 to 21 August 2026. The event was opened by PT Bumi Siak Pusako Director Robi Junipa and attended by managers, PICs from various company functions, BCMS Coordinator Al Maududi Hadi, and consultants supporting the preparation and strengthening of PT BSP’s BCMS.
In his remarks, Director Robi Junipa emphasised that corporate transformation must be built on a strong foundation of compliance and Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Compliance and governance serve as the basis for ensuring that every company programme can be implemented effectively, measurably, accountably and sustainably. “Transformation is not only about changing systems, but also about how we build better, more integrated ways of working with a shared orientation towards achieving company targets,” said Robi.
According to him, strengthening governance must go hand in hand with improving operational reliability and accelerating the implementation of various strategic company programmes, including the fulfilment of the Komitmen Kerja Pasti (KKP).
The BCMS workshop formed an important part of building the company’s readiness to face various potential disruptions that could affect the continuity of business processes and operations. During the activity, a Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Disruption Risk Assessment (DRA), Business Continuity Strategy (BCS) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) were prepared with the involvement of various relevant functions within the company.
BCMS Coordinator Al Maududi Hadi explained that the process is expected to produce an increasingly comprehensive mapping of critical business processes, potential disruptions and the business continuity strategies required by the company. Through the BCMS, BSP continues to strengthen the organisation’s ability to anticipate, respond, recover and maintain the continuity of critical functions should conditions arise that could potentially disrupt company activities.
The Director also highlighted the importance of data integration and the use of digital technology in supporting operational activities. BSP is encouraging production and operational data to be managed in an increasingly integrated manner to support monitoring, evaluation and rapid, accurate decision-making. “Data must be able to provide fast and accurate information to the team so that every operational condition can be responded to immediately. With good information, we can determine priorities and make decisions more effectively,” Robi explained.
This digitalisation is expected to further strengthen the company’s ability to monitor operational performance, determine work priorities and accelerate responses to various conditions in the field.
BSP also places operational reliability as a priority in supporting production increases. The company continues to evaluate well and production facility performance to identify optimisation opportunities. These efforts are carried out through strengthened monitoring, facility performance evaluation, production well optimisation and prioritisation of programmes that contribute to operational performance.
The Director stressed that increasing production is not solely the responsibility of the operations function, but requires the support of all company functions. “We share the same goal. All functions must support each other and collaborate to maintain operational reliability and drive production growth,” he asserted.
Beyond system and process improvements, BSP’s transformation is also directed at changing mindsets. All company personnel are encouraged to reduce silo mentality and build stronger collaboration between functions. The Director also invited all levels to build a solution-oriented mindset, viewing every challenge as an opportunity to find solutions, innovate and identify improvement opportunities.
Through strengthened compliance, governance, BCMS, digitalisation, operational reliability and cross-functional collaboration, BSP is committed to building an organisation that is increasingly resilient, adaptive, integrated and performance-oriented. These steps are part of BSP’s efforts to maintain operational continuity, accelerate the implementation of strategic programmes, improve efficiency and optimise the production potential of WK CPP so as to provide added value for shareholders, the region and the community, while supporting national energy security.
