South Besar: Three Free Aceh Movement (GAM) rebels were caught and shot dead by Marine troops under First Sgt. Hardio Melaks in Kampung Dalam village.

West Aceh: Another three GAM rebels were killed during a clash with Army troops in Ketapang village, in Panta Cermin district,

Aceh Jaya: A Mobile Brigade police officer was killed and another was injured when they and their company were ambushed by rebels in Suak beukah village.

Aceh Island: Navy marines and Army troops hunted for about 40 rebels on the island, located four nautical miles off Banda Aceh.

North Aceh: GAM rebel Zarkasih and Afandi Nur surrendered to the military.

Army Special Forces (Kopassus) soldier Private Purwanto was killed when he stepped on a landmine in the village of Darussalam, Tanah Luas district, North Aceh.

East Aceh: Forty five villagers from Kayee village, Rantau Selamat district in East Aceh took refuge at a nearby mosque.
