JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank Syariah Nasional or BSN is targeting the realisation of Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) disbursements for 73,300 housing units throughout 2026 to strengthen subsidised housing financing for the public.

The target was conveyed during a meeting between the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait and BSN’s President Director Alex Sofjan Noor at Menara BTN I on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

The meeting discussed strengthening collaboration on subsidised housing financing, developing subsidised flats in urban areas, and accelerating FLPP disbursements.

On that occasion, Ara stated that the government continues to encourage synergy between the government, banking sector, and private sector to accelerate the realisation of the national housing programme, which is one of President Prabowo Subianto’s visions.

She assessed that BSN has great potential to become one of the driving forces in national housing financing, particularly in the subsidised housing and flats sector.

According to Ara, this is supported by BSN’s position as the second-largest sharia bank by assets and the company’s focus on housing financing.

Currently, 99 per cent of BSN’s shares are owned by PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or BTN.

In the last three years, the market share of sharia banking has been continuously increasing, including BSN’s contribution to national FLPP disbursements.

As of April 2026, BSN is recorded as the second-largest FLPP disbursing bank nationally, with realisations reaching 16,523 housing units.

Ara also encouraged BSN to strengthen support for the subsidised flats programme and the development of People’s Business Credit (KUR) in the housing sector.

“For landed houses, I give BSN a score of 9, and for flats, if possible, I would give a score of 9 this year by recruiting competent, fast, loyal, and effective people for this flats programme. Of course, with spirit and hard work,” she said.

Additionally, BSN is targeting a People’s Business Credit (KUR) submission for Housing worth Rp 500 billion to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. The administrative process is targeted to be completed at the latest within the next two months.

Ara stated that accelerating the housing programme requires an adaptive, collaborative, and results-oriented work pattern so that the national housing development targets can be achieved on point.

Meanwhile, Alex stated that BSN fully supports the government’s housing programme and is committed to expanding access to housing financing for the public.

“Public interest in housing is quite large, and BSN’s core focus on FLPP is very evident. We support the housing programme that is Mr President Prabowo’s vision,” said Alex.

According to him, BSN is also preparing several innovations to strengthen the national housing financing ecosystem.

“For innovations, we will collaborate with the housing ecosystem, strengthen collaboration with developers, promote inclusive housing financing, and develop digitalisation of products and services,” he concluded.
