BSN Secures idAA+ Rating from Pefindo
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) has secured an idAA+ rating with a stable outlook from PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo). Pefindo’s President Director Irmawati stated that the rating was granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of the company’s data and information, including BSN’s financial performance throughout the 2025 fiscal year. “The idAA+ rating indicates that Bank Syariah Nasional has a very strong ability to meet its long-term financial commitments. The (+) sign denotes a relatively stronger position compared to the average obligor in the same category,” Irmawati said in a written statement on Thursday (26/3/2026). This rating is effective from 13 March 2026 until 1 March 2027. “Alhamdulillah, BSN has achieved the idAA+ rating from Pefindo, supported by PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk as the parent entity, which has enabled BSN to obtain this idAA+ rating. This rating result is a positive note for BSN and motivates us to continue improving our performance to provide better services to the community and become the primary financial partner for Indonesian families,” said BSN’s President Director Alex Sofjan Noor. Alex added that BSN will optimally strive to boost the company’s performance by continuously increasing the portion of financing and expanding market reach, so that with this commitment, the entire community can enjoy more blessed and trustworthy BSN products and services. “We will continue to move forward so that the company’s products and services are easily accessible to all segments of society. This rating affirms BSN’s optimism to continue growing, support government programmes, and realise BSN as the primary financial partner for Indonesian families that is more trustworthy and full of blessings,” said Alex. BSN is optimistic about achieving better performance in 2025 than in the 2024 fiscal year, and the company will focus on strengthening the digital ecosystem through the Bale Syariah by BSN application, as well as maximising the role of 37 Sharia Branch Offices, 82 Sharia Sub-Branch Offices, and 589 Sharia Service Offices. With BTN’s support as the parent, BSN’s reach and services will be broader, making it easier for customers to access the products and services offered by BSN. BSN will continue to be encouraged to play a role in society to expand the sharia ecosystem through sharia-based financial literacy with the core business of sharia housing financing in Indonesia, Alex firmly added.
