BSN Optimises Branch Offices to Meet Customer Transaction Needs During Ramadan Holiday
Jakarta – PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) is ensuring that its services remain optimal during the extended Ramadan holiday in 2026. To meet the banking service needs of holiday travellers, BSN has announced that it will open services at all its branch offices throughout Indonesia.
BSN Chief Executive Officer Alex Sofjan Noor stated that the bank and its management will continue to provide services to the public during the Ramadan holiday. All BSN branch offices will be able to serve customers, although operations will be conducted on a limited basis.
“We are doing this to ensure that customer service remains available even during the extended holiday season,” Alex said in a statement on Thursday, 17 March 2026.
He explained that the Ramadan and Nyepi holiday period this year coincides with a time when customers must pay their obligations related to home financing through BSN. To prevent payment delays on these obligations, BSN is opening branch services during the extended Ramadan holiday.
“This is intended so that people can enjoy their holiday in their hometowns with peace of mind, knowing that their obligation to pay house instalments has been fulfilled,” Alex explained.
Members of the public can access the BSN website to find detailed information about the 37 branch offices that will remain open during the Ramadan holiday. Only the Mataram branch office will be closed on 18-19 March 2026 due to the Nyepi celebration. Meanwhile, BSN service offices in the Jakarta area will operate on a limited, rotating basis, with the exception of the BSN Tomang branch office. All other branches will remain open with limited operations except on 21-22 March 2026 due to Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH.
Alex added that the public does not need to visit a branch office to access banking services from BSN. Instead, they can take advantage of Bale Syariah by BSN, which allows customers to have their own bank for conducting transactions according to their needs. Access to BSN mobile banking makes transactions convenient. “We already have Bale Syariah, which can also be used to conduct transactions together with BTN without any fees. This is a convenience that represents one of the advantages of Bale Syariah by BSN,” Alex said.
Nevertheless, Alex also advised the public to exercise caution when conducting transactions through digital banking. Customers should verify the accuracy of information before making online transactions through mobile banking. Suspicious transactions should be avoided, and customers are encouraged to contact the BSN call centre for confirmation and peace of mind when using BSN mobile banking.
