BSN Holds Mass Mortgage Signing for 6,000 Homes to Accelerate Subsidised Housing
As many as 6,000 housing units were simultaneously signed across the entire national branch network of PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN). This initiative aims to accelerate the distribution of subsidised housing financing through a mass signing of the KPR BSN Sejahtera mortgage product. BSN’s Director of Consumer Banking, Mochamad Yut Penta, stated that the mass signing is not merely a ceremonial handover of homes, but an instrument to speed up the distribution of subsidised financing amid the persistently high demand for housing from low-income communities (MBR). “In 2026, Bank BSN has again been entrusted by the government to distribute Subsidised Mortgages with a target of 73,700 FLPP units. The Semarak Akad Massal activity, as carried out today, is one of the key strategies to accelerate the achievement of this target,” Yut Penta said on Thursday (25/6). The mass signing event was centred at the Siba Garden Housing complex in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This step is part of the company’s strategy to pursue the target of distributing 73,700 units of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) throughout 2026. Yut Penta noted that as of June 2026, Bank BSN has distributed 28,000 FLPP units. According to data from BP Tapera as of 24 June 2026, Bank BSN’s subsidised mortgage market share reached 24.6 per cent, an increase from 21.32 per cent in December 2025. The increase in market share demonstrates Bank BSN’s increasingly aggressive stance in subsidised housing financing. This achievement also reflects the continued strong demand for homes from MBR groups, both from formal and informal workers. Yut Penta said the financing recipients in this mass signing come from diverse professional backgrounds, ranging from teachers, healthcare workers, and private employees, to micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operators. According to him, expanding access for informal workers is one of the company’s focuses. This segment is considered to have high housing needs but often faces challenges in accessing financing due to irregular income. “The prospective customers come from various professional backgrounds, both formal and informal sectors. We congratulate them and hope this home improves the quality of life for the customers’ families,” Yut Penta said. In addition to accelerating distribution, Bank BSN is also preparing digital channels to maintain financing quality. Through the Bale Syariah Mobile Banking application, customers can make instalment payments and daily transactions such as electricity and water bills in real-time. This digitalisation is also used by the company as part of financing risk mitigation, including to maintain the non-performing financing ratio. The mass signing event was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, BP Tapera Director of Cooperation and Policy Alfian Arief, as well as representatives from property developer associations such as REI, APERSI, APERNAS, and HIMPERA.
