PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) celebrated Eid al-Adha 1447 AH by distributing over 245 sacrificial animals, including 107 cows and 138 goats, to communities across Indonesia.

BSN President Director Alex Sofjan Noor stated that Eid al-Adha is a crucial opportunity to reinforce the values of sincerity, sacrifice, and social solidarity within communities.

“Eid al-Adha teaches sincerity, sacrifice, and compassion. Through the distribution of 245 sacrificial animals, BSN aims to remain present within the community, not only as a Sharia-compliant bank but also as part of a social ecosystem growing and developing alongside the people. We hope this initiative brings widespread blessings and benefits to recipients,” said Alex in a written statement from Jakarta on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

The sacrificial animal distribution was carried out in phases, in collaboration with mosque administrators, community leaders, social institutions, and local communities within BSN’s operational areas. This partnership aims to ensure targeted distribution and reach those in need across various regions.

According to Alex, the annual sacrificial animal programme also reflects the company’s gratitude for its improved performance and the public’s trust in BSN. Furthermore, the initiative is part of implementing Sharia principles that uphold togetherness, compassion, and social benefit.

“We hope this distribution of sacrificial animals not only provides direct benefits to recipients but also strengthens BSN’s communal ties with surrounding communities,” Alex said.

As a growing Sharia financial institution, BSN strives to provide inclusive, trustworthy financial services that add value not only for customers but also for the wider community.

“Through the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH, BSN hopes the spirit of sharing, mutual cooperation, and social care will continue to grow as a collective force in building a more prosperous, inclusive, and blessed society,” he stressed.
