JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BSI has disbursed Sharia People’s Business Credit (KUR) amounting to Rp 1.65 trillion in January-February 2026.

By channelling Sharia KUR to more than 11,000 business actors, BSI has realised 11.1 percent of the total allocation from the government.

BSI Retail Banking Director Kemas Erwan Husainy stated that in its distribution, BSI continues to prioritise the principle of prudence to keep the company’s portfolio healthy and sustainable.

“The financing disbursement is carried out selectively, considering macroeconomic analysis and financing quality trends,” he said in a written statement on Monday (6/4/2026).

Of the total Sharia KUR financing disbursed, 65 percent is allocated to the production sector and 35 percent to the non-production sector in line with the government’s mandate.

“This composition reflects BSI’s strategy in encouraging value-added and sustainable economic activities,” he added.

In line with that, BSI is optimistic that UMKM growth will remain solid throughout 2026, supported by various government stimuli and policies.

“We see the UMKM ecosystem continuing to strengthen, driven by programmes such as Sharia KUR, the development of the MBG ecosystem through the provision of SPPG, as well as micro and SME financing,” he said.

The positive performance in the UMKM segment also strengthens BSI’s overall performance.

As of February 2026, the company’s total financing reached Rp 323 trillion, or grew 14.32 percent year-on-year (yoy), with significant contributions from the consumer segment, particularly the gold business. Meanwhile, retail financing including UMKM was recorded at Rp 52.43 trillion, or grew 6.10 percent (yoy).
