Jakarta - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) supports the PINTAR Mutual Funds - SiMuda Investasiku programme to expand investment access through education, marketing, and the provision of easily accessible mutual fund transaction services for the public. The programme, initiated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), is designed to build a culture of disciplined, gradual, and long-term oriented investment among the public, particularly those aged 18-30 years. “We are ready to support the government’s programme in introducing affordable investments to the younger generation. With a light nominal amount, the public can start investing earlier and build healthy financial habits,” said BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo in his statement in Jakarta on Monday. Anggoro added that the presence of the Planned and Periodic Mutual Funds Investment Programme (PINTAR Mutual Funds) - SiMuda Investasiku is expected to expand the base of young investors while presenting inclusive sharia investment alternatives. According to him, this initiative is also part of BSI’s contribution to driving the growth of the national sharia financial ecosystem. As a mutual fund selling agent (APERD) in the programme, BSI offers sharia money market mutual fund products that are relatively low-risk, liquid, and suitable for beginner investors. With a minimum investment starting from Rp10,000 and no purchase or redemption fees, the public, especially the younger generation, is encouraged to start investing consistently and in a planned manner. The company stated that ease of access is a primary focus. Registration can be done simply through available booths or digital channels, supported by licensed marketing personnel or mutual fund selling agent representatives (WAPERD). This scheme allows the public, whether they already have an investment account or not, to participate more practically. BSI provides a variety of sharia mutual fund products from several leading investment managers, including Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, Bahana TCW Investment Management, Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, Sucorinvest Asset Management, Trimegah Asset Management, and Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen. To increase participation, BSI also introduces a bundling programme at the launch of PINTAR Mutual Funds SiMuda, combined with the Tabungan E-Mas product. The PINTAR Mutual Funds programme was launched by OJK on Monday (27/4). Head of the Capital Market, Financial Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Executive Supervisor of OJK, Hasan Fawzi, noted that industry players committed to joining the programme include 30 investment managers and 26 APERDs. PINTAR Mutual Funds is expected to continue developing into a national programme and campaign implemented sustainably. In the future, this programme is hoped to provide real benefits to the wider public in building healthy investment habits from an early age. “Market deepening must be carried out in an integrated manner through synergistic efforts from all stakeholders. The PINTAR Mutual Funds programme, collaborated with the SiMuda Programme, is a concrete step to expand access and also encourage broader public participation, including beginner investors,” said Hasan.
