BSI Strengthens Gold Investment Literacy and Access

RRI.CO.ID, Banjarmasin - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Persero Tbk is intensifying its role in Indonesia’s gold investment industry. This comes after it was named the first ‘Banj Emas’ by President Prabowo Subianto, with BSI pledging to broaden access to gold investment for the public. Friday, 6 March 2026.

The commitment was also voiced at the Ngabuburit event organised by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes in Kalimantan Selatan and Tengah together with BSI KCP Banjar Kertak Hanyar. The event offered a free gold cleaning service and a casual discussion on gold investment for the public.

Regional Chief Executive Officer BSI Regional IX, Sefudin Suria Hidayat, stressed that gold investment is a key focus for BSI. This effort is aimed at enabling the public to invest more easily while also increasing understanding of investments that are considered safe and stable.

“Gold held by customers at BSI has been equipped with a digital certificate, making it safer and you need not worry about damage,” he said. “If the physical certificate is damaged, it can usually affect resale value, but with the digital certificate at BSI its value remains preserved without any discount.”

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk hopes that the various ease-of-service in gold investment that are provided can encourage public interest in investing in gold. This is to become one of the financial options that can be used to preserve asset value and also plan long-term finances.
