BSI records Rp844 billion in KPP financing disbursed as of 21 May 2026
The figure reached about 67 per cent of the company’s Housing Credit Programme (KPP) disbursement target of Rp1.2 trillion for the year. Jakarta: The President Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI), Anggoro Eko Cahyo, said the bank had disbursed housing credit financing (KPP) worth Rp844 billion as of 21 May 2026. He stated the figure equates to around 67 per cent of the company’s KPP disbursement target for the year, and he is optimistic the target can be met by optimising the national Islamic finance ecosystem. “Because we know that Indonesia has the largest Muslim population and the penetration of the Islamic economy still presents high opportunities for expansion,” Anggoro Eko Cahyo said during an interview in Jakarta on Friday. He also said the bank is partnering with community organisations, such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, to broaden access to subsidised housing financing. “Thus we will find it easier to tap into its potential, including our push for teachers at pesantren to benefit from this programme (KPP),” he added. In addition to KPP, BSI is supporting the disbursement of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) with a target of 5,540 subsidised housing units. To date, contracts for 1,250 units have been realised. The Housing and Settlement Areas Minister (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, known as Ara, in a formal statement received in Jakarta on Friday, urged BSI to participate in several subsidised housing groundbreaking programmes this year. He said land for subsidised housing development is being prepared in Kelapa Gading (Jakarta), Tangerang, Bogor, Bekasi, Central Java, East Java, and North Sumatra. He also met with the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/Head of BPN) Nusron Wahid to ensure the land is ready for use. “I hope the land locations prepared by the ATR Minister, Mr Nusron, can also host 1-2 BSI groundbreakings this year. Is it possible to have them in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi, as well as in Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, particularly in densely populated areas?” Ara said.
