BSI Provides Facilities for Dharmais Cancer Hospital Halfway House
PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has provided facility support for the halfway house (Rumah Singgah) at Dharmais Cancer Hospital (RSKD) in Jakarta. The assistance aims to help ease the burden on families accompanying patients during treatment, who often have to stay for days or even weeks away from their homes.
The aid was handed over by BSI’s Director of Retail Banking, Kemas Erwan Husainy, to the President Director of Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Eniarti, on Thursday (16/7/2026). The donated items include beds, pillows and bolsters, sofas, mini refrigerators, and storage racks for the halfway house, which currently has 27 rooms.
Kemas Erwan Husainy stated that the support was intended to provide greater comfort for the families of patients, many of whom come from outside the city and face significant expenses during the treatment period. “We hope this assistance allows patients’ families to rest more comfortably after accompanying their loved ones through a difficult treatment process,” he said.
The assistance was sourced from the optimisation of the bank’s Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF) funds. BSI also continues to expand public access to channel such social funds through the ‘Berbagi Sesama’ and ‘Donasi’ features on its BYOND by BSI mobile application.
Erwan emphasised that the distribution of social funds is expected to provide tangible benefits to the community, especially for families undergoing lengthy periods of accompaniment in hospitals. “We believe that a company’s value is not only measured by its business achievements but also by the extent of the benefits it can provide to others. Therefore, BSI will continue to deliver sustainable social programmes that have a positive impact on Indonesian society,” he concluded.
