Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) is preparing BSI Tabunganku and BSI Tabungan Simpel iB accounts, which are free of administration fees, to follow up on the directives and mandate of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, ensuring that all members of the public have savings accounts.

BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday, explained that both types of accounts are not subject to administration fees because they utilise the wadiah (entrustment) contract.

BSI TabunganKu is intended for individuals aged 17 and above, while BSB Tabungan Simpel iB is intended for those under the age of 17. One of the primary advantages of these accounts is the absence of monthly administration fees and their connectivity with the BYOND by BSI mobile banking application.

Furthermore, the accounts offer ease of access with a minimum initial deposit of Rp20,000 for BSI TabunganKu and Rp1,000 for BSI Tabungan Simpel iB. With these advantages, the public can maintain an account without worrying about their balance decreasing due to monthly administration charges.

For example, when the government distributes aid amounting to Rp50,000 to beneficiaries, the amount will not be deducted by monthly administration fees because the accounts are fee-free. Consequently, the funds will remain available at the full amount received by the public to meet their needs.
