To commemorate Ramadan 1447 H, HokBen partnered with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) to organize a joint fast-breaking event for more than 4,500 orphans and underprivileged individuals. This program involved 42 orphanages and was conducted at 41 HokBen outlets located in various regions.

The event, titled “41 Years of Sharing Goodness: Fostering Togetherness in Ramadan 1447 H,” also served as part of HokBen’s celebration of its 41st anniversary in Indonesia.

HokBen’s Director of Operations, Syamsul Bahri, explained that sharing during Ramadan is a regular company activity. “This is the second year of our sharing initiative. And coincidentally, with the disaster affecting our brothers and sisters in Sumatra, we are also participating in providing assistance,” he said, as quoted from a written statement received on Wednesday (February 25).

He added that this activity is expected to expand the benefits of HokBen’s presence for the community, especially those in need.

Meanwhile, HokBen’s Marketing Public Relations, Irma Wulansari, stated that this program is not just a ceremonial event but part of the company’s sustainability strategy, which places social aspects as an important pillar in addition to business performance.

“Ramadan is about togetherness. We want every child to feel the warmth of breaking their fast with quality food and a pleasant atmosphere,” she said.

According to her, involving dozens of outlets in various cities also aims to expand the reach of the social activity, so it is not concentrated in one area only.

“Of course, through this approach, it is in line with the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, especially on the aspect of social responsibility to the community around the operational area,” she added.

JOINT SOCIAL COMMITMENT WITH BSI

SEVP Funding & Transaction at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI), Ida Triana Widowati, affirmed that this collaboration is a form of the company’s social commitment to provide broader benefits to the community, especially during Ramadan.

“Ramadan is a momentum to strengthen concern and expand benefits for others. Through this collaboration, we hope to bring real happiness to orphans and underprivileged children in various regions,” Ida said.

She also mentioned that this activity is in line with BSI’s efforts to promote inclusive social programs and increase community participation in the Islamic financial ecosystem.

SPECIAL PACKAGE

In addition to social activities, HokBen also presents a special Ramadan Bento package designed as a complete fast-breaking menu with a composition of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. Syamsul said that Ramadan is a momentum for people to enjoy delicious fast-breaking meals at affordable prices.

“We are also ready to deliver food to certain areas, as long as there is a HokBen outlet. For example, order and pay at HokBen Alam Sutra, to be delivered to Sukabumi,” he said.

Through social programs and Ramadan menu innovations, HokBen hopes to continue strengthening togetherness and providing real contributions to the community during the holy month. (E-2)
