BSI OTO Financing Reaches Rp791.2 Billion, Grows 14.60 Percent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) recorded an increase of 14.60 percent year-on-year in BSI OTO financing, valued at Rp791.2 billion, surpassing 4,000 vehicle sales over three months. This performance also drove overall BSI financing growth of 14.32 percent year-on-year, amounting to Rp323 trillion. “The growth in vehicle financing through BSI OTO demonstrates that public demand for vehicles remains high, even amid global challenges,” said BSI Retail Banking Director Kemas Erwan Husainy in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday. BSI identifies one of the factors driving vehicle financing growth early this year as government stimuli and policies related to electric vehicles (EV). Other factors include increasing public awareness of environmentally friendly vehicles, as well as the momentum of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, which boosted public purchasing power. “We are optimistic that this trend will continue to grow in line with increasing public mobility needs and preferences for sharia services that provide certainty and comfort for customers,” Kemas added. With solid growth in the consumer segment, BSI is optimistic about continuing to contribute to national economic growth while meeting public financing needs sustainably. Moving forward, BSI states it will continue to strengthen consumer financing penetration through product innovation, ease of digital services, and strategic collaborations with various automotive partners. These steps are expected to expand public access to easy, safe vehicle financing in accordance with sharia principles.
