BSI optimistic about increased ZISWAF collection this year
Looking ahead, BSI is committed to continuing to expand its social impact through the optimisation of ZISWAF collection and distribution, including through strengthening digital services such as the BYOND by BSI superapp.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The President Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI), Anggoro Eko Cahyo, is optimistic that the collection of zakat, infak, sedekah, and wakaf (ZISWAF) through various BSI payment channels can increase in 2026.
He stated that the donation collection last year reached Rp236 billion with a total of 10.5 million transactions.
“We see the 2026 trend for monthly ZISWAF collection figures being higher compared to 2025. And as a bank, we are quite proud,” said Anggoro Eko Cahyo in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He explained that the upward trend in donation collection is supported by the increasingly growing customer base of the company, which has now reached 23 million customers.
“Looking ahead, BSI is committed to continuing to expand its social impact through the optimisation of ZISWAF collection and distribution, including through strengthening digital services such as the BYOND by BSI superapp,” Anggoro stated.
BSI’s Retail Banking Director, Kemas Erwan Husainy, said that the company has so far collaborated with 628 ZISWAF institution partners.
He stated that over the last five years, the company has collected a total of Rp545.46 billion in zakat from the public and customers through BSI’s digital application.
On the same occasion, the Head of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) Collection Division, Rizaludin Kurniawan, stated that national zakat collection has the potential to reach Rp327 trillion per year.
He explained that this potential comes from agricultural zakat of Rp19 trillion, livestock zakat of Rp9.5 trillion, savings deposit zakat of Rp58 trillion, income and service zakat of Rp139 trillion, ASN zakat of Rp9 trillion, individual income zakat of Rp129 trillion, and corporate zakat of Rp99 trillion.
His side also appreciated BSI for encouraging corporate zakat collection as well as Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), thus reaching Rp271 billion in 2025.
