BSI Maslahat invited the public to participate in the Qurban sacrifice through the ‘Festival Kurban Masahlat’, held at Jakarta’s Car Free Day (CFD) on Sunday, 17 May 2026. Operating under the theme ‘Maslahat Qurban, Golden Steps to Care for the Nation’, the event aimed to provide an easy and trustworthy way for the community to engage in high-quality Qurban practices.

The festivities began with a ‘Fun Walk’ featuring ‘Si Legen’, a replica of a sacrificial cow, parading from the Sarinah area to the main stage in front of Wisma Bumiputera on Jalan Jendral Sudirman. The event attracted numerous CFD visitors and featured free health services, nutritious breakfasts available via voluntary donations, Zumba sessions, and live musical performances.

Beyond entertainment, the festival provided education on the Sharia-compliant procedures for Qurban. BSI Maslahat officials were on hand to provide consultations, and special promotions were offered, including discounts of up to Rp500,000 for those purchasing livestock at the BSI Maslahat booth.

Sukoriyanto Saputro, Executive Director of BSI Maslahat, emphasised that the success of the Qurban ritual relies on strong, sustainable collaboration between donors, mosques, the business sector, and livestock farmers. He noted that this year’s distribution programme will cover 37 locations across 12 provinces in Indonesia. Furthermore, the distribution will extend to Palestinian refugees as a gesture of solidarity. For those unable to attend in person, BSI Maslahat continues to provide secure online services for digital Qurban contributions.
