BSI: Home Financing Portfolio Reaches Rp60 Trillion as of March 2026
PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has recorded positive performance in its home financing sector, with the portfolio reaching approximately Rp60 trillion as of March 2026. This growth is attributed to improving public purchasing power and the increasing national demand for housing. The company revealed that home financing remains one of the primary contributors to its consumer financing growth.
Kemas Erwan Husainy, Director of Retail Banking at BSI, stated in Jakarta on Monday that home financing remains a core focus due to high national housing needs and significant market growth potential. “The home segment is a major driver of BSI’s consumer financing growth. We observe that the public’s need for housing remains very high, particularly for first-time home purchases. This aligns with improving purchasing power and growing optimism regarding the national economic condition,” said Erwan.
He added that the growth in home financing is supported by competitive product advantages, including fixed instalments until the end of the tenor, free appraisal facilities, special pricing from selected partner developers, BSI Gold rewards, and various other promotional programmes. In addition to strengthening services in the commercial segment, the company continues to support home ownership programmes for low-income communities through the disbursement of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP). As of March 2026, BSI’s FLPP portfolio has exceeded Rp5.7 trillion.
The company noted that the trend for home financing bookings continues to show good growth, particularly for first-time home purchases in the price range of Rp500 million to Rp1 billion. Demand for financing also stems from take-over needs, home renovations, and other housing requirements. The company currently holds a position among the top six national banks for housing finance distribution, maintaining healthy financing quality.
BSI remains optimistic that the housing sector has significant room for growth, supported by government policies such as the 3 Million Houses Programme and the improving prospects of domestic consumption. As of March 2026, the company’s total financing reached Rp329 trillion. Of this amount, the consumer and gold segments were the largest contributors, with total financing reaching Rp184.27 trillion, representing a year-on-year growth of 17.59 per cent. This growth was accompanied by maintained financing quality, with the non-performing financing (NPF) ratio for the consumer segment remaining at a healthy level below 1.5 per cent, reflecting the company’s prudent approach to asset quality and sustainable business expansion.
