BSI Digination Encourages Students to Achieve Success Before Graduation Through Career Planning
The BSI Digination seminar, titled “Winning Before Graduation x Youth Only Once,” was held at Bina Sarana Informatika University (UBSI) on Thursday, 30 July 2026, at the BSI Convention Centre, Bekasi. The event featured creatorpreneur Aldio Ogut as the keynote speaker, with a Q&A session moderated by Agung Dwi Sandi, CEO of Rankpillar.
Ogut emphasised that students must understand the realities of the professional world early on to avoid experiencing culture shock after graduation. He noted that many aspects of the professional landscape are not covered within a classroom setting. “I feel useful by being able to inspire my juniors and provide perspectives on the actual reality of the working world. I wish someone had told me these things when I was their age,” Ogud stated.
Drawing a parallel to Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’, Ogut likened career preparation to military strategy. He argued that victory is determined not just during the battle, but through meticulous planning long before the conflict begins. “If we want to win, we must have a plan before we fight. According to Sun Tzu, once we have planned, we have already won fifty per cent of the battle. Similarly, before graduating, we must understand the world we are about to face so that we do not lose before we even begin,” he explained.
The discussion intensified during the Q&A session, where students engaged in dialogue regarding workforce readiness, building professional networks, and developing personal potential amidst increasingly competitive industrial competition. As a creative digital campus, UBSI continues to host seminars that connect students with industry practitioners. This initiative is part of the university’s effort to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also prepared to face professional challenges through strategic planning.
