REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia, together with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI), has launched a digital payment service for Hajj DAM and Qurbani through the BYOND by BSI application. This service opens access to online payments for social worship within a single integrated platform.

The launch took place at the Baznas RI Building, Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026). The initiative is expected to strengthen Islamic philanthropy services based on sharia financial technology while increasing transparency in the management of social religious funds.

Through the “Qurbani Menu and Hajj DAM Payment” feature, the public can conduct transactions in a practical and digitally documented manner. The collected funds will be managed to support community welfare programmes, economic empowerment of the people, and strengthening social resilience based on Islamic philanthropy.

Baznas RI Chairman Sodik Mudjahid, based on a press release received on Monday (11/5/2026), stated that this collaboration is expected to expand public participation in social worship while strengthening solidarity towards vulnerable groups in various regions.

BSI Deputy Director Bob T Ananta said that this service innovation allows customers to make Hajj DAM and Qurbani payments quickly and transparently, as well as monitor the implementation process from animal selection to distribution to beneficiaries.

This digital service targets prospective Hajj pilgrims for the year 1447 Hijriah. Indonesia’s regular Hajj quota in 2026 is recorded at 203,320 people, with approximately 83 percent or 164,319 pilgrims being BSI customers.
