BSI and ANTAM Collaborate to Strengthen the Gold Ecosystem

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BSI) has entered into a collaboration with PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTAM) to accelerate the formation of an integrated gold ecosystem while encouraging the public to shift towards more modern and digital gold investments. This strategic step was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of gold product services and business collaboration in Jakarta on Monday. BSI’s Director of Sales & Distribution, Anton Sukarna, stated in Jakarta on Monday that this moment serves as a key accelerator for BSI’s gold business following its approval as a bullion bank, providing easier access to owning ANTAM gold through BSI. “BSI’s gold business has grown rapidly, both through bullion services and gold instalment and pawn products. The synergy with ANTAM forms the main foundation because most of the gold we distribute is ANTAM’s production. This is concrete evidence of strengthening the SOE ecosystem in accordance with government directives,” said Anton. Furthermore, through this collaboration, BSI and ANTAM have agreed to elevate their operations by strengthening an accessible and secure gold ecosystem. BSI stated that the agreed collaboration is not merely a continuation but an aggressive expansion of the synergy that has been established for over 10 years. This step, according to the company, also demonstrates seriousness in advancing the government’s Asta Cita through strengthening the bullion bank’s role via gold monetisation and a sustainable gold ecosystem. In 2025, BSI absorbed more than 60% of ANTAM’s gold sales in the related-party category. Compared to the total overall gold sales category of ANTAM, BSI absorbed around 11%.
