BSI Aims to Reach Two Million Gold-Savings Account Holders Through Dukuh Atas LRT Naming Rights
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) is targeting growth in the number of gold-savings account customers to two million this year. To support this target, the company is leveraging a naming rights partnership on the Jabodebek LRT Dukuh Atas, which now officially uses the name Dukuh Atas Bank Syariah Indonesia LRT Station. BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo revealed that the number of gold savers has surpassed one million customers in the past year. The company believes the figure still holds significant growth potential, particularly given the high activity and mobility of people in the Dukuh Atas transit area. He explained that Dukuh Atas was chosen because it is a hub integrating various public transport modes, with daily productivity-driven mobility. Through a presence in the area, BSI aims to broaden the accessibility of Sharia-compliant financial services to urban workers and the younger generation. ‘Dukuh Atas is where people work, create, and earn their living. That is where we want BSI to be,’ Anggoro said. He noted that gold remains a strong investment choice because it tends to withstand uncertainty and fluctuations in the economy. Therefore, the public transport area is seen as having great potential as a vehicle to expand education and literacy in Sharia finance among the public. ‘We hope young people start saving gold. During Covid-19 and monetary crises, gold remained resilient,’ he said. To support the target, BSI also unveiled a special booth in the station area. Through this facility, LRT users can access a range of banking services directly, including investment transactions and buying/selling gold via the BYOND app. PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek President Director Fuad Iskandar Zulkarnain Fachroeddin explained that Dukuh Atas Station was chosen for its strategic role as the main destination point on two main LRT Jabodebek corridors, Bekasi–Dukuh Atas and Cibubur–Dukuh Atas. ‘This station is not only a transit station, but the main destination of the Jabodebek LRT journey,’ Fuad said.
