Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) will commence the construction of phase 2 of the Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road, or Serbaraja, in the second half of this year.
“Most likely in the second half,” said Director of PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE), Hermawan Wijaya, in Jakarta on Wednesday evening.
Hermawan stated that the Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road has been opened and is currently operational up to Legok.
“Next, we will continue with phase 2 and phase 3 to Balaraja,” he said.
PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk will continue the construction of the toll road in stages and hopes to complete the entire project to Balaraja by 2030.
“Hopefully, it will be completed by 2030,” said Hermawan.
The Serbaraja Toll Road is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) with a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, initiated by PT Trans Bumi Serbaraja as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), which is a subsidiary of Sinar Mas Land, namely PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk.
The Serbaraja Toll Road was officially inaugurated by the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, on September 20, 2022. The construction of Section 1A of the Serbaraja Toll Road has a length of 3.97 kilometers, and Section 1B has a length of 5.37 kilometers.
The Serbaraja Toll Road will have a total length of approximately 40 kilometers, divided into three sections, namely section 1 Serpong-Legok with a length of 9.8 kilometers, section 2 Legok-Pasir Barat with a length of 11.5 kilometers, and section 3 Pasir Barat-Balaraja with a length of 18.6 km.
The Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road will support community mobility and improve connectivity between the Jakarta area and its surrounding areas, especially Tangerang Raya, Banten. The Serbaraja Toll Road will be the initial section of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 3 (JORR-3) network and will be connected to the Jakarta-Serpong Toll Road, the Jakarta-Merak Toll Road, and various toll roads on the island of Java.
