Brutal! Lampung SPPG Chief Arrested Over Abduction and Molestation of a Primary School Girl

A head of the SPPG, identified by the initials DD (29), has been arrested by police after abducting and molesting a pupil at an elementary school in East Lampung Regency. The suspect said he has a sexual deviation, adding that he had never consulted a doctor. ‘I’m not seeking treatment,’ the head of the SPPG in Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency, said. DD said he regrets his actions. ‘I am sorry, sir, I am sorry,’ said the man who had been in the role for seven months.

Police response

According to reports, DD was arrested by the Purbolinggo Police Sector’s mobile investigation team on Tuesday afternoon (3 March). He was detained in the parking area of a minimarket in Purbolinggo District after shopping. Purbolinggo Police Chief AKP Irwan Susanto said DD had previously committed similar acts; the victims were described as random. ‘He does not have a target; it’s random. If he likes someone, that becomes the target. From investigations, the offender is also believed to have carried out similar acts at other locations with other victims, but failed due to resistance,’ Irwan explained.

For his actions, DD has been held at Purbolinggo Police Station and charged under Article 450 and/or Article 415(b) of Indonesian Law No. 1 of 2023.
